Configuration and usage of Two-factor (2FA) authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) will be activated for KTU employees from June 25, 2024, and for KTU students from July 8, when connecting to any University system.

When connecting to Microsoft services managed by the University (i.e. MS Outlook, MS Teams, MS OneDrive or MS Office), KTU SSO with redirection to Microsoft for the second factor is already activated, but this will also change and the user will also be redirected to KTU SSO window for the second factor.

Instruction (For students instructions apply only from the 8th of July)

  • I don't see the button "Use app" in the authentication page.
       If after successful authentication with login name and password, you don't see the option button "Used app" - it means that the QR code has already been generated for you. Click on the link "configure app" in the Help! section.
